In January 2023, Harry K. (Kin) Weaver Jr.  announced his intention to seek election in 2024 as Suwannee County's next Sheriff.  Kin  completed all necessary paperwork with the Suwannee County Supervisor of Elections in Live Oak, Fla., and is actively reaching out to the citizen's of the county to let them know they do have a choice and a voice in the 2024 election.

Kin's message to you

“Thank you Suwannee Countians for supporting me, Kin Weaver, as I take on this campaign to be elected to serve ALL the people of Suwannee County with the best law enforcement possible during my time as sheriff. This is a decision I have thought about long and hard and am proud to be seeking election in 2024.”

“When I am elected, my future Suwannee County Chief Deputy will be Mike Wallace. Mike has a proven track record as a true community police professional in both Gadsden and Leon Counties. Mike will lead the way training our valuable male and female officers. He will also focus on bridging gaps in our community and building our external law enforcement relationships. My campaign is making a point to highlight diversity. I wanted to ensure I picked someone who understands just how special Suwannee County is, and Mike Wallace is that guy. He and his wife China will become full time Suwannee County residents soon after I am elected and already have met with many people in our county,”

 

Why is Kin running as an NPA Candidate?

“I am seeking the office of Suwannee County Sheriff as an NPA (No Party Affiliation) candidate, having changed my political affiliation in 2022. My decision to change my political affiliation was simple. I want to be the sheriff of the people...ALL THE PEOPLE…of Suwannee County under The Constitution of The United States.”

“When I am elected Suwannee County Sheriff in 2024, my promise to ALL of you, the voters, is I will do my best to serve and protect ALL of you and your families. I will use my many years of experience in law enforcement to achieve our goals of making Suwannee County safer for ALL its citizens by reducing drug trafficking, thefts and all other crimes by getting back to law enforcement basics.”

“We will provide prompt law enforcement service, putting morality and integrity at the forefront. Between my very experienced, highly trained and trustworthy Chief Deputy Mike Wallace and I, we will train the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office staff to be the best rural county sheriff’s office in the state of Florida! We will bring new and better ways to train our law enforcement officers to be the best anywhere who will provide courtesy, service, protection and get back to basics serving our citizens by providing the best law enforcement service possible.”

“I will provide our citizens with a staff, as I promised and should, who are morally fit, have the highest ethics and integrity and are properly trained and adhere to that training!”

“We will earn our pay provided by you, our citizens, who deserve the best trained, most qualified and ethical employees at the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office and, you will have that as long as I am your sheriff! Hold me to it!  I have many other plans to advance for the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office once I am elected.”
