About Harry K. "Kin" Weaver, Jr.
“I grew up at The Florida Sheriff’s Boys Ranch where I lived with my family. After graduation from Suwannee High School in 1977, I attended ABAC College in Tifton, Ga. I moved back home to attend the Florida Highway Patrol Academy and completed training in 1981. As a State Trooper I was promoted through the ranks to Master Corporal and then to Traffic Homicide Investigator. I retired in 2015 after 33 years of doing my best to help keep ALL citizens traveling Florida highways safe. In my retirement, I have continued to operate my family’s custom farming business. I also worked as a reserve deputy sheriff for the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office for several years and currently serve as a part-time reserve officer for the Monticello Police Department in Jefferson County.”
“A Suwannee County country boy who grew up learning how to become a servant to my fellow countians under the watch of my parents, Harry K. and Jacki Weaver, my wife Virginia and I now live in the home we built here in Suwannee County (which we both love). Our three children, Lee, Jabe and Hal are all adults and have made us proud grandparents.”
“I am seeking the office of Suwannee County Sheriff as an NPA (No Party Affiliation) candidate, having changed my political affiliation in 2022. My decision to change my political affiliation was simple, I want to be the sheriff of the people...ALL THE PEOPLE…of Suwannee County under The Constitution of The United States. Thank you for your support." - Kin Weaver
